- THE SOUTHEAST REGION REQUIRES THAT THE CREW CHIEF AND CREW MEMBERS MUST HAVE AT LEAST THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE OFFICIATING AT
THE BABE RUTH LEAGUE, INC. STATE TOURNAMENT LEVEL IN ORDER TO BE QUALIFIED. IF YOU DO NOT MEET THESE CRITERIA DO NOT CONTINUE; YOU
WILL NOT BE APPROVED. *
- The 2025 Umpire Registration System is for the positions of Crew Chief and Crew Member. After review and selection of the Crew Chief,
to the extent possible, he or she will be instructed to select crew members for the assigned tournament age group. If additional umpires are
needed (2025 NUA Members), they will be provided by the Host.
- The registration system for all umpires will remain open until 5:00PM ET on May 15. That gives umpires approximately
4-1/2 months to decide whether to apply for Southeast Region tournament umpire assignment consideration.
- Applicants must be NUA members for 2025 at the time of registration.
- For the Crew Chief assignment, the applicant must have a minimum of three Crew Chief assignments at the Babe Ruth State level. When
necessary, your application will be forwarded, in an Under Review status, to the State Umpire Advisor for review and recommendations. (While in the
Under Review status your follow-up is with the State Umpire Consultant.)
- Be advised that Host league and local association umpires are not assigned as the Crew Chief, but are eligible to be assigned as a crew member when approved by the
Southeast Region Commissioner or designee.
- The applicant must select the age group that he or she wants to officiate. Multiple age groups require multiple applications. By selecting the age groups
and submitting this application, the applicant guarantees to accept the assignment made and travel when necessary. Here is a list of
tournament(s) that are offered
in 2025.
- The applicant must have expectations of receiving a "Positive" endorsement by his or her State Umpire Advisor or State Commissioner when
necessary.
